Čortanovci

                Weekend colony Cortanovci Danube is situated in the wood along the right Danube bank which is a part of the National park Fruska gora. Next to the wood, there is a small sandy beach and unarranged camp. The only possibility is to dock to the bank. One can take a nice walk through the wood and renew the quantities of drinking water from Savinac spring. Within the weekend colony there are two restaurants.

                On the way to the village Cortanovci there is the representative Stankovich villa, built by Doctor RadenkoStankovic, the king`s regent who lived before the W.W.II. The building constructed according to design of the architect DragisaBrasovan, imitatesthe appearance of the Serbian castles from Middle Age. During excavation of foundation, Roman relieves with remaining mosaics incorporated into outern walls in villa where found.

                Village Cortanovci is 2km far from the Danube and is well known for its fresh air and good climate ( which influence decision to find in Cortanovci supporting families for children orphans ). The Orthodox Church Saint Nicolas dated from the beginning of the XIX century and its altar icons were made by GrigorijeJezdimirovic.
