Bela Crkva , a beautiful town on the far south of Banat, is 96 km located from Belgrade to the east, on the border with Romania. The man in this region, first appeared about 10,000 years ago, which is proved with existence of numerous archaeological sites including the "City" from which originate, worldwide known, Votive Carriage from Dupljaja.

Bela   Crkva   was   established   as   a   real estate   of   the   Count Claudie Florimud from Mercia, who founded it in 1717. On the fertile soil between the Danube and river Nera viticulture and growing of fruits, especially production of several types of fruit brandies was developed. Very soon mulberry tree is massively planted and the breeding of the silkworms became developed, so in Bela Crkva in 1876, there were 5 factories for silk manufacture. Trade and handcraft were developed, too. Bela Crkva gets the status of free royal city in 1872.

In the main street many facades are preserved dating the baroque period, and the most important are: Gradska kuća (City Hall) from 1868, Beker- Milošević villa, from the end of the 19th century. The Museum was founded in 1877, in the building of the Magistrate, with numismatic and archeological collection. It was headed by Felix Milleker-teacher.

As a cultural, economic and political center Bela Crkva was founded immediately, after the liberation from the Turks, in the1717th, and the name gets by the old church built by the first settlers. The first inhabitants were the Germans - the colonists, and soon were settled by the Serbs. Beautiful nature, old streets and facades of Baroque and Viennese Secession style, parks and lakes make it a unique oasis of rustic. Quiet and slow pace of life makes the visitors relaxed. The mountain air, which is coming from the slopes of the Carpathians, a large number of sunny days a year, local cuisine and other amenities, provide an opportunity for refreshment and memorable holidays.

Visitors will especially attract beautiful, clean lakes, of which six are good for swimming. A visitor may choose the lake with wild beaches and surrounded by unspoiled nature and also urban lake beaches, which have showers, restaurants, pastry shops, sports facilities, water sports, kayak and sailboats for rent, ...One who decide to visit Bela Crkva, should visit the Museum, the oldest in Vojvodina, established the 1877th in addition to archaeological collections preserved and Bela Crkva paintings from XIX century.

Bela Crkva boasts a large number of cultural monuments: the Serbian Orthodox church of St. Peter and Paul from the 1751st, the Roman Catholic Church of St. Ana from 1722nd; Romanian Orthodox Church of St. Sošestija; Spirit of the 1872nd year; Evangelical and the Russian Orthodox Church. It should be visited the Library - Serbian reading room from 1865th, which have the fund with about 30,000 books and Historical state archives. Significant monuments of material culture, because of its great values, are ethno villages: Czech village and Stara Palanka, and the hundred year old city park with a central pavilion for gatherings and festivities reminiscent of past times.
