More specifically, it is positioned between the Medgidia Plateau and the coastal plain. Valu lui Traian village consists of a single locality - Valu lui Traian - that was created according to the new administrative-territorial division of 1967, from the villages Valea Seacă and Valu lui Traian, localities which joined due to the intensively development and the construction rhythm, merging into each other. The two localities, Valea Seacă and Valu lui Traian, have existed as separate settlements, as "Hasancea" (Valu lui Traian) and "Omurcea" (Valea Seacă), both being placed on the line of the three Roman waves with a height of 3-4 meters, which go towards Tomis port.

They are called the Walls of Trajan, and the village is positioned on the most important of them, the Stone Wall. At 1-2 km north stretches the Great Wave of Earth and to the south, intermittently, the Small Wave of Earth. The one built, the Stone Wall is made also of earth, but has stone on top. It stretches 59 km south of Axiopolis, to the Black Sea, reaching 75 m south of the first wall of defense. The earth basis has aprox.1.5 m, while the stone wall reaches 2 m.

It has a defense ditch on the northern side and 26 fortifications, at distances of 1-4 km. The type the village is lined along the national road and Constanţa-Cernavodă railway, on a length of 4.5 km. On each side there are parallel and perpendicular streets.
