Geographical location: the Roseti Commune has been established in 1841 on the estate in land of Ion Rosetti and his wife. The first written documents about the estate in land are the deeds released by Ion Rosetti to every inhabitant who bought a plot of land to build a house. The first designation of the village was “Volnasi” (“volinei”, meaning ‘a village of free inhabitants’ in the Slavon language). Later on, the village was named Roseti-Volnasi, Roseti being the plural of the ‘Rosetti’ names.

Tourist attractions: the archaeological site of Roseti called “Gradistea Coslogeni” (Coslogeni Hillock), situated in the north of the Borcea Swamp, dating back from the Neolithic, the Bronze Age.

Local events: ‘Iordanul’ (the Woman’s Festival) celebrated on 6 January of every year, ‘Boboteaza’ (the Epiphany) celebrated on 6 January of every year (the Day of the Commune).

Investment projects: Extension and rehabilitation of the water distribution network, sewage network, pavement of roads, Romania and Bulgaria cross-border cooperation programme for construction of the road infrastructure
