Pristol is a commune which includes the villages Cozia and Pristol. It is considered the border between Serbia and Bulgaria, and they say that Pristol is the place where the dunghill cocks sing in three languages.

Main touristic objectives:

  • The archeologic site, fluvial km 847, 6th Century BC, Middle Hallstatt.
  • Settlement from the 9-11 Century, situated on the Danube bank, fluvial km 847
  • Settlement from the Early Neolithic, Stareevo - Cris culture, situated on the Danube bank, fluvial km 847
  •  „Sf. Nicolae” Church (1892)

Events:

  • Religious holiday – Saints Constantin and Elena, 21 May
  • Weekly fair on Tuesdays.
