Oinacu is a village in Giurgiu county, composed of two other villages, situated in the South part of Burnas Plane, on the terraces situated on the left bank of the Danube.

Between the years 1928-1929 and 1960-1962, a bronze quarry dating from the Late Bronze Age was discovered, and also a Sarmatian necropolis (dating from the 2nd-3rd century), where three-edged arrow-heads, amber jewels, and mirrors with geometric hallmarks where found. During the same period, a bi-ritual necropolis similar to the one in Sântana de Mureş (2nd-3rd centuries) was discovered, containing objects like fine ceramic pots, glass beads, bone combs.

The main occupation of the locals is farming, animal raising, beekeeping, and cultural-traditional activities and crafts (wicker and wool weaving, wool spinning)
