Lisa is a commune in the county Teleorman, which includes 2 villages: Lisa and Vanatori. It is situated in the Boian field, on the river Calmatui, on the edge of the lake Suhaia, at a distance of 25 km to the town Zimnicea and 10 km to the Danube.

The main occupation pf the locals in Lisa are: the cultivation of cereals, medicinal and fodder plants, of vegetables, animal raising, pisciculture, winegrowing, crafts, etc.
