The town Dabuleni is situated in the south-east of the countz Dolj, between Bechet and Corabia, and is part of the ethnographic area Romanati.

The main occupation of the inhabitants of Dabuleni is agriculture, mainly the cultivation of technical plants and animal raising. The arenaceous land in Dabuleni is favourable to the cultivation of grapes and watermelons.

The commune Dabuleni was known in the 15th century as Recica-Dabului, and was attested in 1494 during the reign of the lord Vlad Calugaru.

Main touristic objectives:

  • The churches “Sf. Gheorghe” (1812-1817) and “Sf. Nicolae” (1842)
  •  The area “Dabuleni –Bechet”, area of sand dunes and water ponds, with a rich fauna of reptiles and water birds.
