Cârna

The commune Carna is situated in the south-west of the country, in the county Dolj, at a distance of about 62 km from the south of the town Craiova. It is bordered in the north by the commune Goicea, in the east by the commune Macesu de Jos, in the west by the commune Bistret, in the south by the Danube. The commune is situated in the south part of the county Dolj, in the point where the river Desnatui and the lakes of the Danube meet. The commune is formed only by the village with the same name.

The main occupation of the inhabitants of the village is agriculture, but also fishing and hunting.
