Yasen (or Yassen) is a village on the Danube in northwestern Bulgaria. It is located in Novo selo Municipality (9 km), Vidin District (15 km from Vidin). The distance to Sofia is 163 km.
The soil and the good climatic conditions here are favourable for the production of watermelons, melons and grapes.
The landmarks in the village are the Church and the Monument of soldiers died in the wars.
Four km east of the village, there are remains of a prehistoric antique settlement in the locality of Unis Alba.
On the Danube bank, a campsite was built which attracts tourists with opportunities provided for recreation, bathing, fishing, water sports, shelter, barbecue, children’s playground etc.
