Kutovo is a village in Northwestern Bulgaria. It is located in Vidin Municipality, Vidin District, 12 km from the town of Vidin, about 1 km from the Danube and 153 km from Sofia.

It became a settlement in the early 15th century by families which migrated from the neighbouring countries: Romania (majority) and Serbia.  Initially, the village was named Kurto, which means "wolf" because, according to the legend, there was a terrible lonely wolf which devastated the local herds of domestic animals. Subsequently, the name gradually changed and reached its current version of Kutovo.

Sightseeing:

The St.St. Peter and Paul Church was built in 1873.

In the churchyard there is a Monument to the 33 soldiers from the village victims of the Balkan Wars and the First World War.

The Community centre "Prosveta" was established in 1937; its library holds over 16 000 volumes of books. It has a choir and children's dance troupe, which present the village in local, municipal and district events.

The School "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" is from 1880: today, it provides education also for the children from neighbouring villages of Antimovo, Koshava and Slanotran.

Between the villages of Kutovo and Antimovo (with distance between them of 2 km) is located a beautiful park (5 ha). There are growing rare species of trees. There is also a campsite with a restaurant in the locality of "Orliaka".

The Danube island Goliat ostrov (The Nude Island) is in front of Kutovo.

The potentials for tourism development are: eco, hunting, fishing, agricultural, culinary and other types of tourism.
