Krivina is a village in Northern Bulgaria. It is located near the Yantra River and the Danube, in the municipality of Tsenovo (16 km), Ruse (51 km) and the nearest port is Svishtov (23 km). The distance to Sofia is 211 km. (In Bulgaria there are two other villages with the same name: one near Sofia and the other in Teteven municipality, Lovech district).

There is evidence that the first settlers in these places are the tribes of the Getae. There are 43 tombs scattered in the high plateaus along the Yantra river.

When Romans conquered these lands in 1st century AD, they took measures to strengthen the frontier by fortifications along the Danube, one of which is the Yatrus castle built at the confluence of Yatrus river (today Yantra) in Danube. The height of the river banks over Yantra and Danube insured good visibility around. The coins found from that time are dated between the third and fourth decades of the 4th century AD. There are also evidences that the city continued to exist in 8th century, already within the First Bulgarian State: the main street was about 115 m long and 7 m wide, there are remains of large buildings, dwellings etc.

The local attractions, except Yatrus fortress and ruins of other ancient settlements, are: the St. Trinity Church, built in 1885, the Community centre and the Memorial to Hadzhi Dimitar and Stefan Karadzha.

Тhe feast of the village take place regularly on 2nd  June with folklore programme.

The proximity of the Danube River provides many opportunities for river and fishing tourism.

Interest represents the Yantra River, which passes through the village. It offers great opportunities for canoe kayak. The section of the river suitable for launching a kayak is from Byala to the junction of Yantra to the Danube.
