Dunavets is a village in northeastern Bulgaria, in Tutrakan Municipality, Silistra District. It is located 11 km from Tutrakan, 42 km from Silistra and 318 km from Sofia.
The village is almost depopulated.
Dunavets and the neighbouring village of Pozharevo (3 km) take care of the birds in the protected zone "Pozharevo Island" (71 ha).
There are excellent conditions for hunting (dense forest vegetation around) and fishing (the Danube) tourism.
