Tass is situated in the north-eastern part of Bács-Kiskun county, at the border of Pest county, at a 4 km distance from the Danube. The Danube-channel of Ráckeve ends here, at the southern edge of the Csepel-island, the water-level of which is regulated by the Kvassay-watergate. Its railway station is located at Tass-Kertes, on the line Budapest-Kelebia. The railway station is in a 5 km distance from the settlement.

Tass is known as a fishing paradise all over the country. The Danube of Ráckeve (Ráckevei Duna) and the Great Danube (Nagy Duna) flows through the external areas of the village, whereas the Main Irrigation Canal of Kiskunság (Kiskunsági Öntöző Főcsatorna) leads through its inner area. Also racing anglers visit the Turbina-bay at the junction of the two Danubes with pleasure. The Danube of Ráckeve leaves its accretion here; therefore the bay is extraordinary rich on fish. Many shots are here especially during spring and winter. Rózsa-island, which we can approached through the Kvassay-watergate, belongs to one of the best fishing-places of the Danube. The guest houses of the island are operated by the National Federation of Hungarian Anglers, only members may angle in the surroundings. Most of the Danube bank is a resort area, which can be accessed on an asphalt road. Week-end bungalows and well-ordered fishing places are following one another, but also free beach is waiting for the visitors. The almost 90-year old angler’s inn is open from 1 May until 30 September.

At the settlement the two churches of the village in classicistic style should be visited. The Szerbith-curia and the Darányi-curia are protected historical monuments, as well. The latter is in private ownership; therefore it can be seen only from a distance. The Cultural Society of Tass has been organizing programs establishing traditions as well as programs in the scope of culture and skill development for five years. Such are the Village Day, the Charity Balls on Elisabeth Day and Catherine Day, furthermore the events on  the occasion of the national anniversaries
