Kisapostag is situated in the south-eastern corner of Fejér County, south of Dunaújváros. Thanks to the vicinity of Highway M6-os and Pentele Bridge in Dunaújváros it is relatively convenient to access it from any direction. By the point-to-point bus lines of Alba Volán all the neighbouring towns have traffic contact with it. The settlement reached the recreation area of Baracs, as both grew in size. However administratively the two are distinct. If you happen to come to Kisapostag visit the Halászcsárda (Fishermen’s Inn) as it is very famous for its “halászlé” (traditional fish soup made on open fire in stew pot, and pontypaprikás (stewed carp). West of the village there is a private sports airport operated by Dunaferr Air Club.
In a quiet and protected bay of the Kisapostag section of River Danube is the harbour of the local yacht club big enough to accommodate more than 80 smaller boats. The harbour can be a good starting point for excursions by boat to Budapest, but the almost intact flood-plain woods and islands of the neighbourhood can be explored by boat as well. The yacht club offers full service ranging from guarded harbouring opportunity to taking electricity and water, using shower, accommodation, catering, etc. There is a filling station and there is also an opportunity to hire water sky. The Section of the Danube in the village is designated for and dedicated to water sports. Its bank is one of the biggest natural beaches of the Danube in Hungary. The Szitányi bank covered by gravel is also at Kisapostag. Tourists wanting to have their holidays in a quiet village surrounding will find high standard guest houses here.
