Dusnok is one of the settlements of Kalocsa Sárköz, lying along Vajas-csatorna (Butter Channel). It is located along Road 51 halfway between Kalocsa and Baja, near to Szent László híd (Saint Leslie Bridge). The main profile of the village is growing paprika but many inhabitants are also engaged in keeping waterfowls. In Dusnok there is a significant ethnic minority of Serbs whose predecessors moved here in the course of the 17th century. In order to preserve their traditions, they organise the Serbian Pentecost every year, an event being very popular among the inhabitants of the neighbouring settlements, as well. At the cultural and entertaining event you can become familiar with foods of ethnic character and local wines, e.g. dusnoki királyleányka (Princess of Dusnok) and kékfrankos (Blue Frankish).
At the boundary of the village there are football fields and a waterside leisure park. The widening Vajas is suitable for bathing; on its bank there is a snack-counter and a beach valley-ball field. On the sluggish channel water-tours are organised already from early spring. Rowing southwards through the village the course is bordered by homesteads, reed-beds and gallery forests all the way up to the Danube. In the evening of 24 July, on the day of Szent Iván (Saint Ivan) torchlight boating is held along the winding channel. The rich stock of fish attracts anglers, too.
In the public administration area of Dusnok, turning to west from Road 51, a paved access road leads to the hunting lodge of Lenes, belonging to the hunting area of Hajós. The 1st-category hunting lodge suitable for accommodating 20 guests is popular both with foreign and domestic guests. Among hunters, the woods of Lenes are famous for their pheasant hunts with large bags and the red deer and roe stock of the hunting area is also significant.
