Podunajské Biskupice is the largest city district of the Slovak capital Bratislava. It lies on the northwestern end of the Rye Island, on the eastern outskirts of Bratislava. This part of the city is easily accessible from Bratislava by public transport. The city-part has its own railway station.

In Podunajské Biskupice allegedly lived also Romans, there was a milestone of a Roman Emperor found, Alexander Severus from 230, and a Latin inscription on the rock, which originally stood near the church with the stamp of the Roman camp. Through  Podunajské Biskupice led also the Amber Road, which led from Rome to the Baltic Sea. Podunajské Biskupice joined Bratislava in 1972.

It has public cultural houses and two libraries. For sport activities available is the local areal, baseball pitch and a range of playgrounds. Podunajské Biskupice has the hunting association and hunting ground.

Sights:

-      The territory Podunajské Biskupice is a protected landscape area of floodplain forests with rich flora and fauna by the Danube. Through this area leads a cycling road that is connected to the international Danube route.

-      Roman Catholic Church of Saint Nicholas, originally a Gothic church from the year 1250. The most beautiful part of the church is the sanctuary with a preserved Gothic vault, which purity and simplicity suggests that it is one of the oldest Gothic vaults in Slovakia.

-      Closter of Sisters of Charity of the Holy Cross. Here was  Blessed Zdenka Cecilia Schelingová buried.

-      Plague column with a statue of St. Trinity from 1735 is situated to Trinity Square in Podunajske Biskupice

-      Ethnographic exhibition on the history of Podunajské Biskupice.
