Bodíky is a village in Rye Island, in southwestern Slovakia, in the district of Dunajská Streda. The village is located between the old riverbed of the Danube and its newly built artificial channel, cca 30 km south of Bratislava and 24 km southwest of Dunajská Streda. Access is possible along the newer roads from Bratislava towards the border of Hungary from the direction of Gabčíkovo through the hydroelectric dam, or by passing the river by ferry from Kyselica. The village is easily accessible from Bratislava and Dunajská Streda with suburban services. The nearest railway station is in Dunajská Streda, 24 km away.

It was first mentioned in 1245 as Bodak. It was a serf village of Bratislava Castle and later it belonged to the Pálffy family until the end of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.

There is a perfect environment for recreation, water touristics, sport and fishing at the diagonal system of the Danube. By the dam of the canal and the reservoir leads an international Danube cycling track, which is one of the cycling arteries of Europe.

Sights:

-      The Roman Catholic church from 1996.

-      Not far from Bodíky is the natural landmark of Kráľovská lúka with the protected remains of the Danube’s dead ram with water, swamp and meadow plant associations.

-      The National Nature Reserve of Ostrov Orliaka Morského spreads on the islands with alluvial woods among the branches of the Danube.

There are private accommodations, chalets, restaurant, pubs and food shop in the village.
