Prahovo is a village in the municipality of Negotin, which belongs to  the Bor district. According to the 2002nd population census, there were 1506 people (according to 1991 census. there were 2296 inhabitants). Prahovo is an important industrial town in the far eastern Serbia, near Bulgaria. It is connected with Romania over the Djerdap II dam. In the vicinity of the Danube are placed important industrial buildings and production facilities, especially for chemical and oil industry. In the settlement the oldest buildings is the Serbian Orthodox church of Ascension built in 1872nd and the primary school building from the 1876th.

In the center of the village are ambulance, post office and pharmacy. In shops and restaurants can be sought the original wine of this region, that are known as wine from Negotin Region. The Port Customs Service, Port Authority police and the river port Prahovo are at the 861st kilometer. Here one should go through the custom formalities and officially inform authorities about leaving the country.
